Are words such as “riffraff”, “bikini”, “seropositive”, “refugee” or “pesticide” now worn out and formulaic? How many lives and meanings do these words really have?
By only using archival footage, by colliding TV genres and eras with each other, this collection of short films playfully challenges words which have, over time, become social, political, esthetic or cultural clichés in the media.
