On the French coasts, at the foot of lighthouses, there is a story that has always been left untold. And yet, it recounts the lives of hundreds of women—anonymous maritime workers whose duty was to light the seas. This light, however, was denied to them, and, left in the shadow of the legend of their male counterparts, they lost their right to memory.
In 2022, two young filmmakers, eager to uncover lost narratives, made their discovery. Gradually grasping the extent of this invisibilization, they embark on an intergenerational coastal investigation to sensitively tell the story of the lighthouse keepers.
