On French coasts, at the foot of lighthouses, there is a story that has always been kept quiet. It tells the story of hundreds of women, anonymous marine workers whose duty it was to light the seas. However, the lighthouse keepers were deprived of this light, and as they remained in the shadow of their male counterparts’ legend, they lost their right to memory. In 2022, two young filmmakers, eager for lost narratives, make their discovery. Gradually realizing the extent of their invisibility, they embark on an intergenerational coastal survey to tell the story of female lighthouse keepers.
