Georges Kiejman is the great storyteller of his own, incredibly rich life. His function as a lawyer, his closeness with Pierre Mendès-France and his role as a minister under François Mitterrand are well known. But one is less familiar with his tragic youth, his close ties to the world of cinema, and the impressive amount of big cases he worked on as a defense lawyer — Malik Oussékine, the Aubracs, Ghislaine Marchal v. Omar Raddad, the Trintignants v. Bertrand Cantat, Charlie Hebdo, Jacques Chirac, Nicolas Sarkozy… He recounts them in this documentary, as a fascinating witness to France’s 20th century.
