This film began with the desire to tell the story of a major major upheaval in France’s agricultural landscapes: land consolidation. Three in four trees were uprooted; the water and soil cycles were turned upside down; and biodiversity was put at risk — all to promote modern, intensive and mechanized agriculture. Through Martigné-Ferchaud, a village in the Breton bocage, we tell the story of this consolidation in light of today’s necessity to replant.
