Guillaume D ENG
A film written by Julie Depardieu and Pierre-Henri Gibert
Directed by Pierre-Henri Gibert
Production’ year : 2014
A 60’ film
Guillaume died almost five years ago, leaving behind the draft of a music record. Beyond film, poetry and painting, this record was, to him, the most important of his artistic projects.
Out of fear, probably, he had kept postponing the record, and never managed to complete it in the end.
Years later, his sister Julie wanted to give birth to Guillaume’s dream.
This musical project became an opportunity for her to reunite with her brother, whom she recounts in a singular and funny documentary. She speaks of him with joy, dusting off the many clichés associated with him, the « news items » actor. With sensitivity, she highlights his strength and his many artistic talents.
The aim was never, of course, to conceal his errors, but rather to focus on their artistic impact.
To many, this film will be a discovery.
