Erased is a series that chronicles the racial and ethnic history of Europe. Focusing on ten little-known stories across ten European countries, these animated hip-hop musical shorts bring to light the destiny of the communities that have been erased from our shared history, revealing its extraordinary diversity. The series integrates historical images with animation, enabling an accurate visualization of complex, controversial trajectories from the past. Each episode is driven by a narrative song. Artists from all over Europe use the vocabulary of hip-hop beats to bring to life the voices that were lost because of erasure. This unique storytelling format utilizes the popular language and visual style of today to engage audiences in understanding the historical roots to present-day issues.
